Stepping Stones

One of the most viewed images on the site, "Stepping Stones", was captured last November at Prairie Dell County Park near Merrill, WI.  After climbing down a pretty steep embankment, my camera, tripod and I carefully navigated our way out into the middle of this small pool.  Standing on the slippery rocks, I positioned the camera low to the ground to focus on the reflecting sky and surrounding area.  I love the contrast of the blue sky against the grey rocks.  In typical Wisconsin fashion, the very next day this scene was covered in ice and snow.
