Backup Your Images

Some time ago, I blogged about how my wife and I use a HP MediaSmart Server to help backup our important files and photos from our laptops.  Well, that's a great option when we're at home.  What about when you're away from home or if a MediaSmart server isn't a possibility?  In those cases, I'm a fan of the Western Digital Passport USB drives.

I love the small form factor and portability of these drives.  They're quiet, reliable and not all that expensive.  In fact, I just ordered a 500GB version on Black Friday to use to backup our backups from our MediaSmart server.  This 500GB version has shrunk to about half the physical size of the 320GB version I've been carrying around for the last year.  Simply amazing.
