Please, Sir. May I Have Some More?

As a follow up to last week’s post titled “The Hummer Invasion”, here’s a close up of one of the “other” girls in my life – a female ruby-throated hummingbird.

With 12+ feeders distributed around the house, we’re still continuing to refill them daily at a rate of more than one gallon of sugar water per day.  If all of these families return here next year I think we’ll be refilling the landscape pond with sugar water!

How could you say no to a face like that?
