New Year Lightroom Catalog Reminders

With the arrival of a new year, I thought I'd offer up a few helpful hints from previous posts to help you keep your Lightroom Catalog lean and mean:

• Update your copyright information - If you're tagging imported photos with a copyright, don't forget to update it to reflect the current year, e.g. "© Ken Schram 2012".
• Take out the trash - New year means new beginning.  Why not take a few minutes to clean up your catalog and toss out the trash?
• Import folder structure - If you use a folder hierarchy on your file system to organize imported images by year as I do, it's time to create that new folder for 2012.  Remember on your first import to redirect to that new folder from the import screen.

Hopefully these few tips help you start out the new year right.
