A Photo Contest Worth Entering

After discussing the photographer's inherent desire to give their photos away to anyone holding a photo contest (see "Here. Use My Photo!"), I thought I'd share a contest I found with BIG prizes AND the ability to retain rights to your image (well, most rights :-).

Photo Focus is holding a free online contest with a current prize pool worth more than $10,000.  I say "current" because they're still drawing in additional sponsors.  The winning entry will be picked from 24 semi-finalists (2 or 3 picked each month) on December 15, 2012.  You can read all about and submit your entries by clicking here.

I've paged through some of the entries and, how do I be politically correct about this, there are A LOT of people unloading their memory cards into this contest (aka many, many, MANY "snap shots"). 

You can submit as many as 5 images over the course of the contest.  Hope to see you there.
