Loner

Life finds ways to thrive in the strangest places.  This lone pine tree clings to the cliff face above the Yellowstone River. 

Thanks to my wife for pointing this shot out and allowing me to shoot over her shoulder.  I processed the image as a black and white and then used a reveal mask in PhotoShop to bring out the green needles for contrast.
