Sparkle

Last weekend we made another kayak trip up the Wisconsin River on the Grandfather Falls Flowage between Merrill and Tomahawk.  Coming back down the river in the early evening, the sun full on in our faces, I managed to shoot this oncoming duck among the brilliant sparkles dancing on the water.

Sitting in the middle of that dazzling reflecting shine, I had to use the Lightroom Adjustment Brush to lighten up Ms. Duck to get a little detail back from what was a pure silhouette.  Amazing application, that Lightroom!

When meeting a duck heading up river and you're heading into the sun with the current at your back, who has the right-of-way anyway?
