Passing the Time

Last week I blogged about the investment my wife and I made in a pair of Hobie Outback kayaks.  The purchase was made with photography being one of the key drivers and so far we haven't been disappointed.

If you can't afford the lens to bring the wildlife to you, then you need to find a way to bring you to wildlife.  This bald eagle watched with a curious eye as we glidded along silently up the river.  I can honestly say this is the closest I've ever been to a wild bald eagle.

Don't tell anyone, but while you're out there enjoying yourself relaxing, traveling and photographying, you may even have received some health benefit from the physical activity. Exercise disguised as fun... is there any better kind?
