Harbingers

Autumn is in full swing and colors are at their peak here in central Wisconsin.  This is also the time of year when we get the occasional taste of what's to come when the temperature drops, the winds pick up and the sky clouds over.

It was during one of these overcast and windy days that I was driving the side roads of the Door County Peninsula when I happened to see these two ravens roosting in the top of a dead tree next to the road.  I came to a stop, opened the moon roof and shot this image without getting out of the car as I feared doing so would scare off my subjects.

You won't see a lot of black and white images in my collection, but this one SCREAMED to be black and white.  I purposely added a little grain to the image as I thought it introduced some additional drama to the ominous scene.

You can see "Harbingers" and other fine art images available for sale in my Prints collection.
Enjoy!
